  • Former Nintendo president and video game visionary, Hiroshi Yamauchi dies aged 85.

    Whatever platform you prefer, there’s no doubt about the impact Nintendo has had on the video game industry over the years, and the man at the helm of much of that, Hiroshi Yamauchi has died today, at the age of 85. Mr. Yamauchi who is credited for transforming Nintendo into the video game and console giant it is today, joined the company in 1949 when it was still a card game based company.
